Crisis/Acute Services

Acute Services House/Crisis Residential Services
Originally established in 1987, ASH/CRS is a short-term crisis intervention that provides community-based support and treatment to adults experiencing a psychiatric crisis that requires the individual to leave his or her natural environment. Treatment is designed to resolve the immediate crisis, improve daily functioning and enable all persons served to return to less intensive community living as soon as possible. An alternative to hospitalization, ASH/CRS provides a safe environment where services include mental health nursing, psychiatric services, case management, OT assessment, therapeutic direct care, transportation support, medication management and meals.

Services are delivered as outlined in an individual service plan developed by you and your treatment team. Duration of services does not usually exceed seven days, by which time a        determination of care, linkages and treatment are customarily completed and sufficient to enable you to return to greater independence.
