Computer Literacy

Tech Horizons
Through tax deductible donations of money and computers, Tech Horizons builds and refurbishes computer systems and gives them to poor families and disabled individuals free of charge.

The Digital Divide
Access to computers and the Internet and the ability to use this technology is crucial for full participation in the country’s economic, political and social life.

People are using the Internet to find better prices, work from home, acquire new skills through distance learning, and make informed decisions about their healthcare.

In the 21st century, the ability to use technology means access to a wider range of jobs – and with the demise of many newspapers, access to job openings themselves.

Through Tech Horizons we strive to eliminate the digital divide where poor and disabled people lack access to the skills, knowledge and resources that come with the Internet and computer literacy.
